Project Up is our direct intervention against the systemic barriers keeping Black gender-marginalized communities from professional success. While the unemployment rate for racialized women stood at 9.6% (compared to 7.3% for non-racialized women), we offer a solution: culturally relevant, evidence-informed career-readiness workshops.
We equip youth with sustainable, future-focused skills to counteract the painful reality that, even with similar educational attainment, the Canadian-born Black population earns only $0.76 for every dollar earned by their non-racialized peers. Project Up provides the knowledge, strategies, and resources needed to successfully navigate the educational system and transition into meaningful, high-earning careers.
We don’t just talk about potential; we deliver the tools for economic parity.
To apply, applicants should meet the requirements below and submit the following;
- Must be between the age of 18-25
- Must be a Black woman/ non-binary
- Must reside in Canada
Applications for Project Up will reopen in Spring 2026.
