Pass the Mic: Build Black Women's Power with $10K

Hey Black Girl launched in 2018 by three Black immigrant women to create space for Black women and non-binary folks to lead, speak, heal and be witnessed. We have amplified thousands of leaders across North America and Africa, however Black-led nonprofits get less than 0.1% of Canada’s charitable funding. This March Pass the Mic raises $10K for charitable status to change that.

Why Charitable Status Matters

  • Sustainable funding: Access grants other organizations get 10x easier.
  • Tax receipts: Your gift goes further.
  • Stability: Programs expand, never pause.

Only 2% of Canadian charities are Black-led. We are building our own table.
